Located in Saint Joseph, Clare, Nova Scotia and born our of necessity as the primary lumber source for A.F. Theriault & Son Ltd.
As the primary supplier of lumber for the A.F. Theriault & Son Ltd. boatyard in Meteghan River, Nova Scotia, AFT Sawmill purchases logs from various areas in western Nova Scotia. Our mill proudly produces 2-3 million board feet per year of both green and kiln-dried lumber.
Every piece is meticulously graded by an NHLA lumber grader and dried on-site in our state-of-the-art Nyle dehumidification kiln. Our diverse lumber grades include Select & Better, #1 Common, and 2 & 3 Common, featuring species such as soft and hard maple, yellow and white birch, red oak, white ash, and poplar.
